1. The short version

This website does not run analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies, and it has no forms. We do not sell your personal information and never have. If you back the campaign, the details you give at checkout go to Square, our payment processor, and we use them only to send your confirmation, issue your store credit, and arrange the benefits of your tier.

The sections below explain that in full.

2. Who we are

Praliné French Patisserie (“Praliné”, “we”, “us”), 227 Newbury Street, Boston, MA 02116. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at pralineconfections@gmail.com.

3. What we collect when you back the campaign

Campaign invitations are purchased through Square’s hosted checkout, not on this website. When you complete a purchase there, we receive from Square the information needed to fulfil your reward: your name, your email address, the tier you bought, the amount, and the date.

We do not receive or store your full card number. Card details are handled entirely by Square.

If you email us, we hold that correspondence so we can answer you and keep a record of what was agreed.

4. What this website itself collects

Browsing these pages does not create an account, and there is nothing here to fill in — the site has no contact forms or sign-up fields.

Our host, Vercel, processes standard server request data in order to serve the site and keep it secure. That includes your IP address, the page requested, and your browser type. This is ordinary web-server logging, not a profile of you, and we do not use it to identify individuals.

5. Cookies and tracking

We do not set advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not use Meta, Google, or any other tracking pixel on this site.

The site stores one item in your browser’s local storage: a note that you dismissed the opening-update banner, so it does not reappear on every visit. That value never leaves your device, is not sent to us, and can be cleared at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

If we ever add analytics or advertising measurement, we will update this policy before doing so and describe what is collected.

6. Who else is involved

Square processes payments and hosts the checkout pages. Information you enter at checkout is governed by Square’s own privacy policy.

Vercel hosts this website and processes server logs as described above.

Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on these pages. Because the fonts load from Google’s servers, Google receives your IP address as part of that request. No cookie is set by this.

Links to Instagram, Facebook, and our main website take you to services with their own privacy policies; this one does not cover them.

7. How we use your information

We use what we collect to send your purchase confirmation, to issue and honour your store credit, to arrange tier benefits such as tastings or party invitations, to keep you informed about the opening and any change to its timing, and to answer your questions.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.

8. How long we keep it

We keep campaign purchase records for as long as your store credit is outstanding, and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes. Email correspondence is kept while it remains useful to the matter it concerns.

9. Your choices

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email pralineconfections@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Deleting information connected to an outstanding campaign purchase may prevent us honouring your store credit, so we will explain the consequences before acting on such a request. Campaign emails we send you include an unsubscribe option; we will still contact you about the credit you are owed.

10. Children

This campaign is intended for adults, and campaign invitations may only be purchased by people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information — for example by adding analytics, or by using a new service to send campaign emails — we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing supporters will be communicated by email.

12. Contact

Questions about privacy, or a request about your information, are welcome at pralineconfections@gmail.com.
